words about our work

I would like to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to you for your hardwork and dedication to students, families, and communities across Nunavut.

During your career working with the Canadian Red Cross, you have been pivotal in establishing a key collaborative relationship with the Department of Education. Your resourcefulness, ability to make long lasting connections, and integrity helped build a solid foundation from which numerous resources and supports have been put in place for Nunavut schools.

You exemplified the Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit value of Piliriqatigiinniq/Ikajuqtigiinniq, working together for a common cause. You helped successfully navigate COVID-19 challenges by leading a dedicated team of Canadian Red Cross staff and volunteers that worked tirelessly with our staff to support our schools.

Your leadership and drive to find new ways of working together, along with your kind and community-based approach has helped build safer and more caring school communities.
